Taeavor United Calendar

After the end of the Impermanence Era and the unification of Cyorion and Eterna, dignitaries at the World Summit in Busat agreed to a unified world name and calendar, agreeing to a global scheme and year based on known histories. As of session 0 of Blood and Scales and Turn Soonest to the Sun, the year is 2424.

Calendar configuration and Date standard

The Taeavor United Calendar is split into four months. Each month encompasses an entire season. The world's seasons are 56 days each, containing 7 weeks of 8 days each. When referring to a date in long form it is written or spoken as Nth Dayname, Day # Month, Year. For example: 3rd Elion, 21 Fhelohk, 2418. In short form, simply Day # Month, Year, or 21 Fhelohk, 2418. Mortals established the month names during a time when the The Aspects of Taeavor, great dragon-like creatures, were guiding mortal races into the newly created The Sheltered Plane, providing guidance, language, edicts, and morals. They assisted the creation of the calendar, which mortals named months after four of the enigmatic and unknowable members of The Council, paying homage to their gift of The Sheltered Plane. As worship of The Council faded into obscurity when The Ovi'Tae began to exert control, the meaning behind the names of the months were lost.
