Fhel 3, 2425 - Chapter 2 - Session 7 - Shop 'til you Drop

We awaken to the smell of stale mead and the smoke of dying coals in the firepits.
The druids begin the morning with rituals and prayers of thanks and remembrance. Personal artifacts for the loved ones lost. There was even a little wooden cog for PIP. It was a very moving sight to see.

I found Nellie looking over a granite slab with veins pulsing through it. She told me she thinks she might be able to stabilize the forest and leylines, hopefully allowing the trees to rise up and help defend itself. She showed me her prototype. She called it a "Cinderheart" I offered to spend the day assisting her efforts. Also gives me a chance to spend more time with her which is always a joyous bonus.
The rest of the group helped break down the camp to prepare for our next leg of our journey.
Thalara approached me with a piece of wood in hand. Sap rubbed over it with the words "Fort Emberwake". This place will be a new bastion of hope. A new base in the grove for the Stonekeepers to set up and help defend the region from future dangers. The first of many steps in reclaiming what was lost.
The next day we continue to help build the new fort. I continue to assist Nellie with her work. About midday a band of merchants arrived with supplies and our little group did some light shopping. I took a break in the middle of the day to help affix a rune for Bruin. The group acquired some new wands, staffs and healing potions. I also got a nice new pouch to help carry all my vials and potions and bombs.
Z'ed spent a lot of her downtime in her tent pouring over the ancient tomb for any information she can decern from its pages.
I was able to successfully help Nellie perfect her plan for the Cinderheart so we can reliably replicate it and make more should we need to.
On the morning of the third day Thalara gathered us and mapped out locations of other leylines and groves that are corrupt and need our help. We are too few to be able to take care of them all so we will need to decide which groves to go to ourselves and which to leave to the Stonekeepers. We decide we can reliably hit four of the ten. Now to decide which ones. Magma, Frost, Spiders, Ghosts, another lumberyard with more saw guardians like the one we just fought, Cured Illusions, a rumored Drake, Corrupted Beasts, Twilight Shadows, and last but not least a Howling Storm of Lightning and horrible weather. What a fun Menu to choose from.
