The Rookery spent three frantic days navigating the cutthroat markets and political backchannels of Gelnara, armed with a Royal Charter to fund an expedition into the Borderlands. It was a masterclass in prioritization. You recruited top-tier healers and gathered unparalleled intelligence on your target, securing a hidden approach and identifying the enemy commander. However, the squeeze of inflated prices meant hard sacrifices; your caravan leaves with just enough food and guards to get the job done. The gates of the capital have opened, and the warped horizon of the Borderlands awaits.
The Squeeze: Word of crown money drove local prices up drastically during your prep phase, forcing strategic sacrifices in hiring and provisioning.
The Marching Doctrine: The expedition has officially departed under a unified marching doctrine tailored to the party's specific strategic vision.
NPC Tommy: The Crown-assigned deputy Captain of the Guard was explicitly told to stay home by the Rookery. The political fallout of this decision remains to be seen.
Expedition Resources: The caravan boasts Exemplary intelligence and medical staff. However, Provisions and Escort Arms are merely Adequate. You have exactly 7 days of base camp hold time with zero slack for delays.
Mechanical: Double-check your daily preparations and exploration activities for the march.
Narrative: Think about how your assigned role (Leader, Quartermaster, Pathfinder, Camp Warden, or Whisperer) is handling the stress of the first few days on the road.
