Het Lichtorden
  1. A mission was sent by the League to far frontiers of 1st astral layer, far away from the Ephyra Traverse

  2. Multiple ships with priests of the Light and vityaz warriors. Their task was to spread the word of the Light across the untamed allods and build churches and all that

  3. At some point during the mission, early enough, the Astral storm unleashed, known as the Pilgrim's Belt. This was one very long Astral Storm, lasted for almost a century.

  4. The communication between the Mission and the League was cut off severely. They could no longer send reports and receive orders, and they were cut off from supplies.

  5. The only people who could help them were various free allods and Free Merchants who sponsored their Mission from now on.

  6. Quickly, the management changed. Traders who kept the Mission alive and well became the leaders of it.

  7. The Mission was pretty much set up with warriors and priests and other personnel, and they already managed to claim a couple of empty allods and conquer another couple of allods to spread the religion, so it was very handy to take advantage of it and establish the whole quasi-state. Thus, The Lichtorden was founded.

  8. When the Pilgrim's Belt settled, and the League restored the communication with the Mission, it was already well-established with huge influence in their region. Het Lichtorden then declared its independence and also their schism. This led to a small-scale war that nevertheless quickly ended in victory of the Order, since the League -- given the tensions with the Empire and its great distance from the Order -- had neither the resources, nor the will, nor the strategic superiority.

  9. Het Lichtorden dictates that, even though Tenses, Nezeb and Skrakan were on the tip of the martyrdom, and it was supposedly Tenses who awoke the Light, it is by all means the Gift of the Light, not Gift of Tenses, and Tenses is it's mere servant. They speculate that the entity that's called "Servant of Tenses" is not actually an amalgamation of powers of all the Martyrs of the Light. Tenses is by no means greater than Nezeb, Skrakan or any other saint who died for the cause of the Light.

  10. Their doctrine lies in the unity of people of Sarnout under the single omnipotent Light, not some false idols. The Light couldn't emanate from mere mortals even as powerful as the Great Mages.

  11. People must unite and the best way of unity is through a free trade and cultural exchange. They believe in a sacred alliance, where people don't bicker about the faith and follow one code of laws dictated by the Church, and trade by the code dictated by the guild of most experienced and revered merchants.
