Stagger:
"Kitsu, Howler, and I got these letters.
Something about Lion’s Share and Solaris Duty.
There’s one for you too... but not for Roar."

Ignis:
"Already...? That’s... quicker than I thought."

Howler:
"Heh, sounds like paperwork trouble. You pull some strings, Ignis?"

Roar:
"Hmm. That is fast. Ignis and I only registered you three last week."

Stagger:
"Registered us... for what, exactly?"

Ignis:
"For citizenship. You live here now, so it felt right."

Kitsu:
"You what? You didn’t even ask!"

Ignis:
"Better to do it early. Makes things easier later."

Roar:
"By Concordian Law, it’s required to register anyways. Especially if you like tax benefits."

Howler:
"Ha! Nothing says Welcome home like taxes."

Stagger:
"And now we’ve been summoned for a Lion’s Errand ?"

Roar:
"Yeah, that happens. Everyone in the city gets called now and then. Could be once a year, could be twice. You go to a Sentinel Clerk or help out at one of the city’s initiatives for a day or two, and that’s it."

Kitsu:
"So... free labor?"

Roar:
"What? No. You’re on Lion’s Share too."

Kitsu:
"And that is...?"

Stagger:
"The letter explains. A monthly allowance, food and clothing aid,
and, oh. Fifteen gold pieces each."

Kitsu:
"Ooh! So it’s like... Help the city, and the city helps us? I like that!"

Roar:
"Exactly. The Orpaz Royals built a fine balance, if you ask me."

Stagger:
"Wait. All of us received gold, but you didn’t, Roar?"

Roar:
"I requested an advance a while ago."

Kitsu:
"You can do that?"

Roar:
"If your reason holds weight, yes."

Kitsu:
"And yours was?"

Roar:

Ignis:

Howler:
"Read about that. Ugly business."

Roar:
"That was my family’s shop too. The sentinels offered aid to rebuild, but we lost nearly everything. I gave my advance to my folks to help rebuild."

Howler:

Roar:

Kitsu:
"Right... and your trips to the bathhouse second?"

Roar:
"Ha. Maybe..."

Stagger:
"Mmm. The Commonwealth could learn a thing or two from Costa Del Rugido."

Ignis:
"Still... This is early. I didn’t expect Solaris Duty so soon."

Roar:

Roar:
"True story. My Solmatra—that’s my mother—ignored the letter. A Sentinel clerk showed up a month later. Sorted it out, just a clerk's mistake."

Howler:

"So everyone’s got to do these errands?"

Roar:
"Nah. Becomes optional past a certain age.
Students are often exempt too, since their Lion’s Share gets paused."

Ignis:
"Well, could be fun for you guys. Good way to learn the city."

Stagger:
"There’s... quite a list of options here."

Howler:
"Hand it over, Antlers!"

Kitsu:

Stagger:
