The inaugural king of the Freelands of the South. Alarion united the scattered desert tribes around the Crater in the face of endless monster hordes. A powerful and controversial wizard, he wielded necromancy on a terrifying scale, raising vast armies of undead to protect and dominate the southern lands. His reign ended in betrayal — assassinated by his own warriors during a northern campaign.
