The Great Returning is the time when Year of the new Count started: EY 801/YNC 01,
This was the time that magic is said to have returned to the land of the Orin.
Legend has it that all magic disappeared from The land of the Orin after Cruden One-Eye was defeated by Alexandre Dathaway in Errae Year 01. It is said that most if not all non-human creatures fled the land of the Orin at this time - this is called The Great Silence amongst other names.
On Errae Year 801 giant portals opened all over the Land of the Orin (and it is supposed all over the continent of Errae) and multitudes of non-human creatures came though these portals.
This caused many issues as there had been no 'seen' magic and few, if any, non-humans in the land of the Orin for over 800 years.
Orin is short for Original People or Original Human People.
At this time Magic and Non-Human lifeforms flooded the Orin lands.
