In the first day of of the month of Haya-Akirune, four strangers came together: Oskar the Dwarf Paladin, Lanvor Firemight the Sorcerer of Draconic blood, Pharom Alais the Drow Rogue, and Thradal Caebrek the Wizard of Necromancy.

Shipwrecked from the slaver ship on which they had been forced to serve they met with the Goblin Snaggletooth who was buried up to his neck in sand, above the goblin's head was a rough sign saying "IyeHum" and instructions to not aid the goblin in any way. They learned of the Orin laws of IyeMaj and IyeHum, and how Snaggletooth (a goblin in the tribe of Dib) had been captured looting the shipwreck by guards from the city of Dathaway. On the promise that Dib would return their gear (which was looted by Dib's clan, from the beach some hours earlier) they freed Snaggletooth and he brought then to the camp of the goblin Dib.
Dib and the goblin clan met the group and warily made an offer, if the group were to get their gear back they should agree to find and kill Dib's brother, Rib, who had tried to kill Dib, then they would receive information and loot which would help them in their journey here in the Land of the Orin.
The party agreed and set out into the forest to find the evil Rib.
The company journeyed to the cave of Rib, where they battled fiercely with Rib and his guards, after the battle the party uncovered the Whispering Dagger. Although they did not know the power of the dagger at the time it fell into the possession of Lanvor Firemight.
Here a dying Goblin Elder spoke of ancient secrets — of The Crown and The Dagger of Cruden One-Eye, of the Crimson Court, and of the Pale God Below.
After the goblin elder died the party remained the night in the cave.
Returning to Dib’s camp, they found false friendship, for Dib turned upon Lanvor and seized the Whispering Dagger before fleeing with his goblins.

The companions remained the night, their trust betrayed.
Travelling southward, they met the guards of Orin and tasted the bitterness of the statutes of IyeMaj and IyeHum.
Sergeant Vorn Halvek granted them a seven-day pass, commanding their presence in Dathaway for registration, and forbade the use of magic within Orin lands.
That night, they made camp upon the road.
They reached the village of Omstray and met the innkeeper Ersla, who set them a quest to the old lighthouse and wizard’s tower. They were to save the life of a missing Omstray resident Alex Redding, who went 'adventuring' against everyone's advice.
There they fought orcs and a water elemental, solved the door of puzzles, found Alex and saw there was a power on the island to save his life, he appeared to have been experimented upon by the evil orc Shaman.
Upon Mournspire Island they faced rats, sand zombies, and the ghost of a rather spiteful and egotistical mage called Vaelris, and where Lanvor gained a magical conch. They solved the puzzle of the temple and healed Alex in a pool of holy water.
Upon touching the water Lanvor, Thradal and Pharom all received visions. Oskar refused to enter the water deeming it unholy and dangerous.
They then returned to the town of Omstray
Ersla then revealed herself as Ersla Healhand, a cleric in secret.
Ersla advised them that she had foreseen their coming and that a time of great change was upon the land of the Orin. She also allowed that they would find an ally in Samual Brackwater, the proctor of Dathaway, but to be wary of the ramifications of not following the laws of IyeHum and IyeMaj.
Northward they went, where they came upon the guard captain seeming injured under the bole of a great tree.
It was an ambush by the Dathaway guards who bound and gagged Sergeant Halvek as bait.
The ambush failed, and the rebels were slain, though the youngest of the recruits Thom Renn escaped.
It is revealed that the guards were unhappy with their Sergeant, allowing non-humans and obvious magic practitioners to pass without arrest, and mutinied, knowing the party would be coming back this way.
Halvek explained to the party that the rules of IyeHum and IyeMaj were being loosened due to an ever-growing magical threat to the land of the Orin, but only officers were given this knowledge and that prejudice, many years in the making, was rife and strong within the army and the common people.
Vorn Halvek, saddened by his squads rebellion and subsequent deaths, offered to escort the party to Dathaway and arrange a meeting with Proctor Brackwater.
The party remained the night.
The sergeant escorted them to the city of Dathaway, and they experienced more instances of the laws of IyeHum and IyeMaj. They lodged at The Inn of the Warrior, and saw for themselves the Giant Statue of Alexandre Dathaway. At the inn they heard the tale of Alexandre Dathaway hero of old.
After breakfast and escorted by Sargent Vorn Halvek The party stand before Proctor Samual Brackwater, who charged them with a great mission — to aid him in ushering Orin into a new age, where magic and non-humans might no longer be cast out, for the tide was rising and the Orin could not stand alone, fuelled by age-old fear and prejudice.

"We have forests and abandoned villages full of giant spiders, beasts too horrific to mention, and trolls attacking villages and farms, the goblins move north in numbers and if the stories of Alexandre Dathaway are more than just legend then we must be wary of what is retuning. The political entreaties of IyeMaj and IyeHum no longer serve the Orin people."
He also asked them to visit Elder Brannor the dwarven Magistrate, who would wish to speak to such worthy dwarves as Oskar and Thradal.
As they left the palace, a troll and three spiders burst forth from the mines in the north part of the city, awoken by the shadow of Cruden One-Eye.
The companions vanquished the troll and scattered the spiders.
Upon the trolls corpse was found an Amulet of Control, and Oskar beheld a vision of Cruden One-Eye and Alexandre — but with Brackwater’s face.
You see a goblin wrapped in bone armour, standing atop a hill of corpses, his single eye glowing like a forge. He wears a crown of crimson thorns on his head, and carries a malevolent silver dagger.
Before him astride a horse is a man in silver plate, his sword a streak of light. Alexandre Dathaway — calm, resolute.
They ended the day with a feast at The Inn of the Warrior, heavy with questions and destiny. It would seem that magic and non-human interference was not as uncommon as they the Orin would like to believe.
Pharom decided at this point to leave the party and stay in Dathaway.
As Kudi is the Orin Half-day the team visited some of the shops in Dathaway and spent some money on some of the goods that were on offer.
In the afternoon they visited the Dwarven inn The Blunted Ax, in the north side of the city.
The team were shocked by the low appearance of the Dathaway dwarves.

Brannor welcomes the team, an alongside him are two burly normal looking dwarves, his bodyguards. Brannor allows that he is not the most popular Magistrate the dwarves have ever had as he is seen as old-fashioned and speaking to much of the glory of the Dwarves, stories which many dwarves now feel are beyond them, and now only mythology.
The team are attacked by several young dwarves who they run off. Brannor dismisses this as high-spirits. The team also learn that 'Drach'haa' is a Dwarvish insult (Amongst other things it means in the common tongue: 'Up Abover', 'Daylight Dweller', 'Sunbather' or just 'Not Dwarf'.
Brannor tells the team the story of The Frozen Throne, and asks Oskar to help and for the team to take on the quest. He goes onto mention that the dwarves may now be the only salvation of the Orin when Dib/Cruden raises his army.
As if to punctuate his point a farmhand, Tomas Greyhand, stumbles into the inn, bloodied and beaten:
He stumbles through The Broken Ax’s doors mid-brawl aftermath, clutching the torn banner. His voice cracks as he blurts out the line:
“You must help—the farms to the north are under attack!”
He carries with him a an object:
A bloodied, half-burned banner, marked with a crude symbol — an eye, a crown, and a dagger. Drawn with blood on sackcloth.
(After Tomas drops the banner and pleads for help, Brannor steps forward, eyes blazing.)
“So it begins. Cruden’s shadow rises once more, and with it, Dib’s rabble march beneath his cursed banner in the name of the Ancient One, Núrgrim,. Do you not see? Only the dwarves of Durharthal, risen from the Frozen Throne, can stand against the Eye, the Crown, and the Dagger. Without them, Orin will fall, and with it, all Errae. You must go north, my friends — not only to save the farms, but to claim the strength of our ancestors before it is too late.”

The group take their leave and stay the night in the Inn of the Warrior.
The Road North
The team leave Dathaway at 09:00 and as they are passing the tented city of the dwarves they experience first hand the depravation that these people endure. It is especially meaningful to Oskar and Thradal to see once proud dwarven people laid so very low.
As they travel North they decide to see if the can gather some wool for spell components and leave the main road and go to the door of a ranch. They meet Jhona Meadowvale, sheep and cattle farmer, and buy some wool from her.
Later that same afternoon they meet the Blackstock family who are stuck with an upturned wagon, in the middle of the road,. They help to right the wagon. When they are done they are attacked by a bunch of half-starved goblins who seem intent on stealing a pig from the farming family. The goblins are quickly killed (impressively with crossbolt and magical fire).
Silas Blackstock, the farmer, then asks if they can go find their son Silas Junior, who had run off back to the farm looking for the family dog, Bonnie T. Dog
At the farm they find Silas and the dog up a tree hiding from wolves, which attack the team. After some fighting they kill the wolves, but were further harassed by a a Dire Wolf and its two wolf lieutenants.
After they finally killed the wolves and dire wolf, they rescue Silas junior and Bonnie T. Dog, and get them back to their family. The team stayed the night in the farmhouse and meet Greenthroat the goblin, who seemed also to be staving and delirious.
Delirious Goblin Mutterings
“North. Always north. Where the trees groan. Where the court gathers…”
“Dib? Dib? Dib is nothing. Dib is everything. Dib is Cruden.”
“Crown… dagger… eye… watching, always watching… blood for the pale one…”
“The farms at the treeline… they keep them there, the humans… hostages… not many guards, they bicker more than they bind. You could take them… you could save them.”They learn that Cruden one-eye/Dib is drawing all goblins to his banner, and some of the weaker ones are travelling to Cruden and starving on the way...
They also learn that human hostages are being held at the north most farm.
This battle they leave until the next day...
