Heralds of Chaos
While the Faith of Nine reveres the Primordials as dragons who shape existence, the teachings also warn of a darker echo within the pantheon. Rakkan, Primordial of Chaos, is said to have whispered fragments of his will into the world long ago. These fragments became known as The Sons of Rakkan.
They are not gods, nor demons in the traditional sense. They are manifestations of fear made flesh, ancient beings that feed on the emotional fractures of mortal societies. Each embodies a fundamental fear that exists in the hearts of all living creatures. Where these fears grow unchecked, the Nine gain power.
Unlike the Primordials, the Nine do not seek worship in temples. They thrive through desperation, panic, and collapse. Cults sometimes form around them unknowingly, believing they serve salvation or truth when in reality they serve fear itself.
The appearance of the Tower of Soddom has reignited whispers that the Nine of Rakkan are awakening once more.
