Walls are where architecture, class, and survival meet—what you build them from decides whether they keep out nosy neighbors, small‑arms fire, or the vacuum itself.
These stats model how hard a wall is to climb and break:
Wall Type | Climb DC | Hardness, HP (BT) |
|---|---|---|
Plastic panel | 15 | 5, 35 (17) |
Wood | 15 | 10, 40 (20) |
Masonry (brick/stone) | 20 | 14, 56 (28) |
Concrete | 30 | 14, 56 (28) |
Transparent aluminum | 30 | 18, 72 (36) |
Steel | 40 | 18, 72 (36) |
40 | 20, 74 (37) | |
Starship interior | 20 | 22, 78 (39) |
Climb DC: usually a simple DC; adjust up/down for local conditions (slick, damaged, extra handholds, etc.).
Hardness/HP/BT: used when PCs try to smash, blast, or cut through; strong walls (well‑maintained concrete, steel, nanocarbon, starship interior) generally require proper tools and downtime to breach.
Fence Type | Climb DC | Hardness, HP (BT) |
|---|---|---|
Wood | 10 | 10, 40 (20) |
Metal | 10 | 18, 72 (36) |
Fences are easier to climb but sturdier than they look when you try to drive a vehicle through one—use these stats for perimeter barriers, railing blocks, or hastily erected cordons.
