Babylon: SIGNALIS Gestalt Guide

Difficulty: Easy

What is a Gestalt?

Gestalts are described as humans, non-replika civilians of The Nation. Gestalts are by far the most versatile characters to create and play, with jobs ranging from Medical, Accommodations, Workers' Quarters, Military, and Protektoriate. Your character can be whatever you want them to be (within reason), whether short, tall, male or female, their hair can be simple colours like brown, black, blonde, white, or gray. Some Gestalts are rarely born with bioresonance capabilities, though significantly weaker than your average KLBR unit in some cases.

How do I roleplay as a Gestalt?

As a Gestalt, the world is your oyster, within limits. You may play a shy young woman who is terrified on their first day as a resident doktor, or rather a loud-mouthed, gruff infantry soldier who has seen many battles in their time. You are free to write your character however you want, with any quirks you may see fit. It is recommended that you stay away from self-insert characters, as well as silly and juvenile behaviours. Try to keep the quality of the roleplay as serious and consistent as possible. This does not mean you cannot crack jokes and have fun, but ensure it remains in a realistic and logical manner.

More information:

All Gestalts at the age of 16 undergo a military assessment which, depending on various factors such as intelligence, political clout, personal health, and fitness, may result in a 6-month, 12-month, or 24-month span of Conscription, where your character will have received basic combat training, as well as some form of vocational education to help them learn what they wished to do with their life and ensure they provide utility and value to the Nation. That being said, all Gestalts must be above the age of 18. Unless your Gestalt wished to join the Eusan Nation People's Army as a full career, it is unlikely (without very poor luck) that they have seen any proper combat.

Disclaimer:

Bioresonant and AEON characters must be approved by a Team member before character creation, and must have a detailed background and reasoning for the character's existence within the server. If your character has any major connection/plot points/abilities that you do not divulge in the app or in a ticket, then the character will be de-whitelisted.

While there is a large tolerance of freedom in creativity, it should be noted that troublemaking behaviour will lead to punishment and possible execution should it be too consistent.
