Non-Faction Group Overview: Sanguine Order

The Sanguine Order is an organization devoted to the eradication and study of dangerous supernatural entities. Formed by Sir Artorias, the Order is based on the school that he was raised in, though with far less extreme training and recruitment tactics. The order initially began life as a demon hunting conglomerate, with Artorias only being a member. After a change in leadership, the monster hunter took over the organization and decided to expand upon it, wanting it to serve a purpose beyond the extermination of the demonic threat.

The order places high value on knowledge as well as defense. They do not simply slay monsters, they also study them very closely, learning all they can about their strengths, weaknesses, and threat that they may pose.

In order to gain entry into the Sanguine Order, a potential recruit must prove their prowess in the hunt. This is shown through either bringing proof of eliminating a dangerous monster, or by taking charge and leading a hunt themselves. Once approved, the recruit will then recite the Crimson Oath, becoming a full fledged hunter.

Crimson Oath:

"The realm calls and now my hunt begins

With spell and blade, I will fell the creatures of the night

I shall stay my blade from creatures that pose no threat

Knowledge will be as much my weapon as sword or magic

Though I walk in darkness, my light will be a beacon for the innocents of Osterra

On this Crimson Oath I swear"
