The Dominion city of Paragon's Rest, or simply "The Rest" to her inhabitants, is an ancient elven city that the Dominion rediscovered and repopulated early in the Godless Era. In the intervening hundreds of years it has become the second largest city in the Western Axis behind Deorum her sister city. It is nestled between St. Thomas Bay to the west and the Amber Lake to the East. The city is divided into three districts that ascend the hill on which the city is seated.

The Golden Branch District is the highest and smallest of all the districts. Golden Branch's high walls are home to an exclusive guild of Dominion magi, the city officials, and the ancient temple to Nivaris, queen of the seas, one of the only buildings to go untouched by the Dominion since their re-settlement. The Dominion worshipers have re-purposed another smaller religious building into a temple to their patron God, Reaves.

The Amber Gleam District is the middle district and is filled primarily with ancient elven houses that, once cleared of overgrowth, have gone on to house many families. Living in Amber Gleam is very highly prized as it is much more obtainable than Golden Branch and nearly as luxurious. This district notably contains the Griffon Roost, an ancient elven facility for training Griffons and Griffon Riders. The current city administration has trained these Riders as law enforcement, their lioneagle's eye view and beating wings are the safe promise of the residents of the higher two districts and the terror of the lowest residents.

The Point distrcit is notable for being the only district not constructed by the original elven residents, rather everything that has been built there was made since the re-settlement on top of elven ruins. The only remnant structure was the elven shipyard which has been restored and is the busiest port in all the Dominion. Most of all the Rest's residents call the Point District home and it's a mix of industrial and residential blocks. It was expanding steadily outward until recently it began to become constrained by the outer city walls.

An expansion effort for the city was planned before the beginning of the second Korinth-Domin war but it has been indefinitely postponed. Meanwhile war refugees are left outside the walls en masse and the Point becomes ever more crowded each day.
