Humanity
Humanity, out of all the kin on Initia, stand out, but none have been able to say why exactly that is. They are not particularly long lived and other races tend to be stronger or more ingenious. Some suspect they are more attuned to the Gods but their lack of affinity for magic, even the divine, seems to suggest otherwise.
Regardless, these short lived and recent denizens of Initia have changed the whole world. Almost as if by divine decree the humans which first arrived on the northern shores spread across the whole of the land like a wildfire each one like an ember that captivates with fleeting beauty only to extinguish just as quick as it came, despite all it's effort. But not before sparking three more like it and leaving an unmistakable mark on the world.
Humans live predominantly in the West and in two separate cultures, the many kinds of humans one is most likely to encounter are detailed here in brief with great generalization. The only thing greater than a human's spirit is the diversity of their race.
Dominion of Mankind
No place is a human better to be treated than in the Dominion of Man, as one might expect. Humans from the Dominion are deeply religious, to a fault if it is possible, and will identify their faction by claiming to be a member of "the righteous". It is common for Dominion human citizens to look down on humans from other cultures whereas even non-human Dominion members, such as Dwarves or Halflings, have the right to be true brothers and sisters to these humans. These humans are renown for their intensely varried aptittude for scholarly pursuits such as theater, music, philosophy, astronomy, horticulture, and alchemy. They are, however, disadvantaged in all areas of magic not expressly derived from their worship.
Korinthian
Korinthian humans have come to represent nearly 30% of members for the once monolithic Elven culture that is the Western Korinthians. Despite this they are relatively second fiddle to the high elves with which they share their home. The most famous humanist order, second only to the Dominion itself, the Solara Adorans are an ancient order of diplomats and scholars pushing for human inclusion in this culture. It is rare to find a human in Korinthian territory that doesn't support or participate in the order. These humans are renown for their unexpected aptitude for magic which is correlated to their 'elven exposure'.
Federation of Merchants
It is nearly impossible for a human, man or woman, to be born a Federal for the members of the Federation of Merchants, whatever race they are, are sailors by default. While some have children in the great port of carnal pleasure to the Eastern coast of Initia it never leads to families, only bastard orphans. Perhaps this explains why Federal Humans have gained their reputation for their subpar morality and cutthroat natures. Regardless you can expect a Federal Human to be adept in deception, sailing, and armed robbery as a general rule. If they did not grow up in Korinth they are just as likely as their Dominion counterparts to struggle to learn magic.
In the Diaspora
There are many other places a human may find themselves, as they have spread far across Initia, you will find these disparate humans take on the qualities of whatever host culture they find themselves in.
