Bran, known as The Lord, is associated with nobility, wealth, and civility. He represents leadership, and stability brought by order. He is a symbol of perseverance, and longevity. In the tales of the gods, Bran was charitable, and sought to help those in need by way of giving them shelter, and protection from the ancient forces of chaos.
His appearance varies, but most typically he is depicted as a wise old king, wearing decorated armor, and his signature symbol, the golden crown, sometimes topped by seven stars. He is sometimes seen wielding a sceptre, a symbol adopted by many kings and queens and a symbol of rule. Other depictions include that of a great Wyrm, with a shining crown of seven stars haloing its head.
In some faiths, the right to rule is granted by Bran himself, through his blessing. Some believe that being born under the crown of seven stars is a sign that you will become a great leader. The appearance of a halo of seven stars in the night sky is in of itself a rare astrological alignment, known as Bran’s Halo, or The Lord’s Crown.
Bran is said to have a great divine antlered horse named Anbarr, who is said to be the child of Cernos' companion, Cadharc. Anbarr was said to be stallion, wild, and violent, even by Cernos, but Bran endured Anbarr's horns, and gently soothed the beast, making a lifetime friend and companion of the giant steed.
