Tartarus was born of Luthea, and wields the sacred darkness, and has power over souls. It is said that all mortal souls were born of his. He is said to be immensely strong, unimaginably so, as he shares in the strength of all souls that pass through the abyss. For every light in the dark, the shadows grow darker. Zaros dare not interfere with the divine work of the Well of Souls, nor drink upon mortal souls, for that would earn him the ire of Tartarus.

It is said that Zaros only fears two beings.

His symbol is the black pearl, or the blindfold.
