Strato’s Gales:

Strato's clerics, on the rare occasions they are called to battle, might invoke the god's power with a short battle cry before engaging their foes. They raise their weapons high and chant the following words:

"With Strato's breath, we ride the storm, our foes shall know his might,

His winds bestow our deadly force, chaos guides our fight.

From darkened clouds to raging squalls, our strength we now deploy,

O Ever-Changing Storm lord, bring victory with your alloy!"

The battle cry not only inspires the clerics themselves, but also serves as a declaration of Strato's presence on the battlefield, instilling fear and awe in their adversaries. By channeling the chaotic nature of Strato's domain, the clerics draw upon his power to aid them in the midst of combat.

Myths

The Dance of the Winds

In this myth, it is said that long ago, the world was shrouded in an eternal calm. The winds were still, and the skies were clear, leaving the world stagnant and lifeless. Strato, then a mortal gifted with an unyielding spirit, yearned for freedom and the exhilarating feeling of windswept skies. With relentless determination, he journeyed to the highest peaks and invoked the favor of the gods to bring forth the winds. Moved by his unwavering devotion, they granted him control over the elements, and Strato ascended to godhood, becoming the master of weather and storms. As a deity, he orchestrated the first Dance of the Winds, a celestial performance where zephyrs and gusts, tempests and breezes waltzed across the heavens. Since then, Strato's dance has continued, bringing life, change, and excitement to the world.

The Gift of Flight

In this ancient tale, Strato is depicted as a benevolent deity who bestowed the gift of flight upon the Aarakocra, bird-like beings yearning to soar through the skies. In a time when their wings were too weak to lift them high, Strato witnessed their struggles and took pity on them. Moved by their earnest desires, he gifted the Aarakocra with feathers that granted them the power of flight. Ever since, the Aarakocra have revered Strato as their celestial protector, and they offer prayers of gratitude and devotion to him before taking flight each day.

The Calming of the Great Tempest

This myth tells of a time when a fearsome hurricane threatened to destroy a civilization. The people cried out to Strato for salvation, as their prayers reached the god's divine ears. Strato, filled with empathy, appeared amidst the tempest and sought to quell its fury. He stretched his arms wide, embracing the hurricane with his divine power, and gradually pacified the raging storm. The once-destructive tempest transformed into a gentle breeze that caressed the land, bringing relief and renewal to the people. From that day on, the civilization revered Strato as their protector and patron of weather, holding annual ceremonies to remember the day he tamed the Great Tempest.
