Jubaïr is an Aasimar hailing from the Sea of Sand. Not much is known of this strange man, except that he was a dye trader for a few years before he ended up in the western frontier. During this time he ran for office, killed many beasts, but sadly died to a wraith in a haunted house. After some months, he was resurrected with the help of a previous trader's guild associate, Saabir al Asaad. After being brought back, they both went back to Avanar and merged several loose guilds into the banner of the Open Hand, which now has a monopoly on trade, both legal and illegal. They accept all people who wish to contribute, from petty thieves to high level politicians.

Jubaïr has still been running the Open Hand for many years, almost nearing the old age around 80 years, not that he would tell you.
