The Standing Stones are one of three ancient druid sites, long forgotten.

• The Ruins, a league west of Saltmarsh along the coast

• The Cairns, beyond the Kingfisher River near the Hool Marsh

• The Standing Stones, set upon a lonely outcropping along the Saltmarsh Peninsula

Few visit the stones.

Though some claim Marella, the sea herbalist of Sharkfin Bridge, has been seen there on occasion and may know more than she lets on.

Little is known of the druids themselves.

Only fragments remain.

A small, weathered volume known as Druids of Saltmarsh circulates through the region.

Copies can be found in:

• The Council Hall archives

• Keledek’s tower library

• Eliander’s private collection

The author is unknown.

Printed decades ago, it is regarded as little more than local lore.

Yet within its pages lie symbols and rites.

Few have ever connected these markings to the glyphs carved upon the Standing Stones.
