De Natte Doos is a dingy old dive bar where sailors, fishermen, and other poor laborers come to drown their sorrows. It’s dimly lit and looks like it once had an owner who cared for decoration but does not anymore, as all the sailing ephemera decorating the walls are dusty or broken. It also has a large makeshift terrace on the exterior that consists of barrels, short stools sacks, and the like.
The bar woman is burly and has a monobrow. She’s chopping fish heads if she’s not tapping beer. The beer is thick and brown and pours like thick sludge out of the huge brown barrels.
