The tale of Cú Mhaol

The Birth of Cú Mhaol

In the hills of Eirendor, 'neath the sky so wide,
A boy was born, bald and bright, a warrior's pride.
Cú Mhaol, they called him, hound of fate,
Destined for greatness, beyond the gate.

From the earth he sprang, with a heart of steel,
His mother's wisdom, his father's zeal.
No foe too fierce, no trial too great,
For Cú Mhaol, the bold, would seal their fate.

Cú Mhaol, the fearless, strong and true,
In the shadows of the night, he grew.
With spear in hand and spirits near,
He’d banish the darkness, conquer fear.

The Fomorians came with shadow and dread,
But Cú Mhaol stood tall, never to be led.
He lured them deep, where the land was wild,
And there he fought, Eirendor's child.

Cú Mhaol, the fearless, strong and true,
In the shadows of the night, he grew.
With spear in hand and spirits near,
He’d banish the darkness, conquer fear.

A love so deep, with a Fae so bright,
But cursed were they, by the moon’s cold light.
One day each year, they’d share their soul,
Yet time wore thin on Cú Mhaol’s toll.

As the years went by, his body frail,
But his love for Aisling did not pale.
To the Earth Mother, he did pray,
“Make me an oak, where she’ll find me each day.”

Cú Mhaol, the fearless, strong and true,
In the shadows of the night, he grew.
With roots so deep and love so clear,
In the forest he waits, year after year.

Now in the sacred woods, his legacy stands,
A mighty oak, blessed by ancient hands.
Lovers and warriors, they come and kneel,
To the tree of Cú Mhaol, and his tale so real.
