At least ten Elder Depths are known, roughly one to each nation, though some lands hold two, and delvers suspect more still lie undiscovered. Some have been charted for centuries, their upper levels mapped and re-mapped as the corridors move; others are barely known at all. Every one is regulated through the keystone system.
Dungeon | Location | What delvers say |
|---|---|---|
The Endless Abyss | Altoria | The deepest and most storied of them all, a place of constant change that has drawn countless heroes to their doom. |
The Infernal Warrens | Solena | Fire and brimstone, said to mark an old battlefield of the Celestial Wardens against the Nihilith. |
The Wyrdwood Labyrinth | Thigas Dale | A root-tangled maze beneath the enchanted forest where time and space do not behave. Tied to the Fae's old wars. |
The Serpent's Maw | Hebi No Miyako | Sprawling tunnels beneath the ancient capital, guarded by naga and used to test the region's finest. |
The Abyssal Pyramid | Persepoline | A corrupted royal tomb under golden sand, treasure and curse in equal measure. |
The Sepulcher of Kings | Kashan | Resting place of old rulers bound to a dark pact, thick with traps and undead guardians. |
The Sunken Catacombs | Cieloazzurro | Half-drowned tunnels beneath the cliff city, where the water itself seems to reach for the unwary. |
The Frosthold Depths | Frostulf | Ice and stone and the darkest corruption, where northern warriors descend to seek glory. |
The Hollow Hills | Aeliopolis | Corrupted burial mounds and endless tunnels, haunted by spectral guardians. |
The Abyssal Trench | Avalore | A lightless ocean-floor descent of crushing pressure and impossible geography. |
Safe zones. Rare, valued refuges where a party can rest and recalibrate.
The Sanctum of Echoes — deep in the Endless Abyss beneath Altoria, said to date to the first delvers.
The Warding Lantern — found in high-corruption dungeons, marked by a glowing lantern visible from a distance.
Dungeon towns, the waystations. Partway down each Elder Depth stands a stabilized enclave, the last secured ground before the deep. These are the Guild's checkpoints: rest, resupply, and the gate that checks your clearance before letting you descend past them. Above the town the levels are patrolled and open to any licensed delver; below it, the depth bands and the Riftblight ascent begin.
Deepforge — a dwarven forge-town in the Endless Abyss, famed for masterwork arms and armor, its walls warded against the Nihilith.
Grimward Hollow — a rough town of mercenaries, bounty hunters, and black-market traders in the lower levels of a nightmarish depth.
Echo's Rest — a quiet, eerie refuge built by explorers who chose the dark over the surface.
