The Dread Blossom is an Eldritch Remnant that embodies the paradox of beauty and corruption, growth and decay. It is a fractured shard of an ancient Voidborn entity, tethered to the cycles of life and death but perverting them into grotesque mockeries of their natural forms. To encounter the Dread Blossom is to be ensnared by its dreadful allure—to gaze upon its bloom is to witness a masterpiece of otherworldly beauty, only to realize too late that it is but a harbinger of corruption.
The Dread Blossom manifests as a vast, shifting plant-like form. Its petals shimmer with iridescent colors that shift between enticing and nauseating. Its stem and roots are veined with pulsing, ichor-like fluid that feeds its grotesque growths. Around its base and within its domain, smaller blossoms sprout, releasing clouds of spores that infest the area, warping creatures and vegetation into twisted, rotting forms. From its central bloom emanates an intoxicating scent that lures creatures closer, only to ensnare them in its thorned tendrils.
The presence of the Dread Blossom warps the land around it, creating zones of desolation veiled in false vibrancy. Grass and flowers may appear to bloom in its presence, but beneath their surface lies decay and corruption. Trees blacken and twist, their bark oozing with viscous sap, and the very air grows heavy with the fetid aroma of rot.
