Xyroth is an eldritch remnant embodying chaos in its most deliberate and liberating form—a being that defies the order of existence to unshackle those bound by oppression. Unlike the mindless devastation of many chaotic entities, Xyroth’s influence is sharp and purposeful, a scalpel that cuts through the chains of tyranny rather than a hammer that smashes indiscriminately. He is chaos as a force of liberation, a dismantler of oppressive systems, and a guide to those who find themselves on the fringes of society.
Physically, Xyroth appears as a towering, fluid figure cloaked in shifting shadows. His form is ever-changing, an ephemeral shape that seems to ripple like smoke caught in a turbulent wind. Red eyes, sharp and piercing, shine through the darkness, exuding both wisdom and menace. His movements are deliberate and commanding, a reflection of the controlled chaos he champions. In one hand, he wields a scythe made of fractured light and darkness, its blade capable of cutting through the intangible constructs of law and power. In the other, he clutches a broken chain, each link a symbol of an oppressive regime shattered under his will.
Wherever Xyroth’s influence manifests, reality begins to fray and twist, as though rejecting the constraints of natural order. Chains dissolve into smoke, walls crack and crumble, and oppressive structures buckle under the weight of unseen forces. His presence is heralded by an unnatural silence, broken only by the faint, rhythmic sound of clinking chains. As his influence grows, whispers fill the air—promises of freedom and rebellion that ignite the spirits of the downtrodden while striking fear into the hearts of oppressors.
Xyroth does not act with mindless destruction but with a cunning, almost surgical precision. His whispers sow doubt among the ranks of tyrants, fracture alliances, and spark rebellions in even the most stagnant societies. Those who resist his influence often find themselves ensnared by their own hubris, their oppressive systems collapsing from within as Xyroth’s threads of chaos spread like a contagion. To Xyroth, freedom is a natural state, and oppression is a perversion of existence that must be undone by any means necessary.
As a remnant, Xyroth does not seek worship in the traditional sense. Instead, he inspires devotion through action. His followers, often outcasts, rebels, and dreamers, carry his teachings in their hearts, spreading his influence through acts of liberation and defiance. The Codex of the Unchained, an esoteric text attributed to Xyroth’s whispers, serves as a guide for his faithful, outlining the philosophy of controlled chaos and the balance between freedom and destruction.
