The fight continues.

Nuhlra spots members of her tribe fighting in the distance so rush off to help them. Zygomatic gets knocked down trying to save some civilians, and with the party now at a disadvantage Malum and Aisling go down soon after. The Barbazu then offers Caillte a deal, he will get his group to leave without killing anyone and in exchange Caillte will own it a favour to be repaid in the future. Caillte agrees on the condition that he has some control on the type of favour.

With the fiends gone the crowd starts to settle and start assessing the damage caused. Caillte is able to revive the others, and is quite guarded when asked why the devils left. While he tends to Zygomatic and Aisling Malum goes looking for the elf family, and is able to confirm they are still alive and together. He offers them his card, and says to contact him if anything happens in the future. They are confused but take it so he comes back to the group. Caillte and Malum then drag Zygomatic back to his workshop to heal.

During that evening Malum sneaks out to speak with his coven. He is greeted by Mirella, and tells her that the child is safe, and has his card. He mentions that the task was more complicated than expected, and they mention that in their vision Nuhlra was unclear, and suggests that Malum may need to get some help from another source. She says that if he completes a favour for Korget then he may be given permission to speak with the child, suggesting that maybe getting an artefact from the ruin below Umbral Haven would be enough to get into her good graces, or that there is a rumour that some planer rift technology has been found in the deserts, and there might be somehing of worth there. She hasn’t had any other visions of people in trouble recently.

The next day Zygomatic is feeling a bit stronger, and so heads out of the city to meet with their clan.

Caillte spends most of the next ten-day catching up with work, and asks around about the recent devil activities. He learns that the devils have been finding ways into the city without much difficulty, and apart from the big events at the grove and carnival have mainly been focusing on causing low-level disruptions, focusing on kidnapping individual citizens rather attacking the upper class or major infrastructure. There isn’t much connecting the victims except that they all have a level emotional vulnerable, or a longing that isn’t being fulfilled. He asks his aunt about what the Dominon has been doing to stop the kidnapping and learns that the Blighsteel Watch is in a state of confusion following them being restructured, and are having some issues as a number of their troops have been sent to the Haven ruin.

During this time Malum visits Caillte at the workshop a few times, and they catch each other up on what they’ve found, but want to wait to hear from Zygomatic before agreeing on their next action.
