This building is one of the oldest in the city, currently run by a set of three kobolds - Egg, Peg and Leg. It was sold to them after the construction of Fort Ettin, when the home of adventurers moved to the new fort.
Until that time, it had been a tavern dedicated to housing the adventurers arriving in the Dawnlands - the real home of the party. It was run by Cecil, Cob and Coll, three human brothers, hired and set up by Mayor Daffles who was keen to attract adventurers to the town to serve as a self-sustaining exploratory force.
The Ettin has quite a large estate thanks to the mayor, and so consists of three buildings.
The first is the large main hall and tavern, with high rafters and a balcony overlooking the main area. The hall sits well over a hundred, though there is very seldom that many people there.
The second is an equally large, blockier building which holds all of the rooms - several large shared dorms are available and about 20 private rooms. The last building is a stable.
