Basic Information

Mushkin are a race of small mushroom folk from The Shadowfell. Mushkin thrive in places of poison and rot, where most other creatures cannot survive and they have few enemies to contend with. Small and tricksy, they excel at blending in with their natural environment and poisoning creatures who draw too close to their territories.

Physical Appearance
Mushkin have the appearance of mushrooms with arms and legs. Like other Shadow Fey, they are bleached of color.

Racial Traits

Ability Score Increase
When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. You can't raise any of your scores above 20.

Age
Mushkin mature quickly, reaching adulthood around 2. They can live to be 30 years old.

You are a Fey (Shadow Fey, Mushkin).

Size
You are Small.

Speed
Your walking speed is 25 feet.


Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Noxious Spores
As a bonus action you can release a puff of spores from your body. Every creature in a five-foot radius centered on you must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be Poisoned until the end of your next turn. Once you use this ability, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

Poison Immunity
You are immune to the Poisoned condition and poison damage.

Natural Camouflage
You are proficient in the Stealth skill. Furthermore, you add twice your proficiency bonus when you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check in heavy fog, spore filled air, or similar environments.

Languages
Your character can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character.
