Every vampire I turn to dust is a prayer that I will not become my sire. Every beast I put down is a plea that I will not become myself.
Einrich von Nostrava is one of the exceptionally rare and tormented beings known to occult scholars as an Aeth'rendyr, or dhampir. Born of a Hyuron mother from a potent gaur-blooded lineage and a powerful Rendyr sire, Einrich's existence is a constant, agonizing war between two opposing supernatural legacies. He has weaponized this internal conflict, dedicating his cursed half-life to a singular, obsessive purpose: hunting and destroying the very creatures whose cursed blood he shares, particularly the ancient vampires who prey upon the weak. He is a tragic figure, a hunter of monsters who is himself a monster, walking the line between cold undeath and primal fury.
At a glance, Einrich possesses the striking features common to certain noble Hyuron lines: a tall, lean hunter's frame, sharp aristocratic features, and dark hair. The immediate mark of his otherness, however, is his stark poliosis—a shock of pure, deathly white hair slicing through the dark, known by some as the "Ashen Mark" of his vampiric taint. His heterochromia is similarly unnerving; one eye is a deep, crimson red, capable of flashing with primal Hyuron emotion, while the other is a colder, paler shade of gold, holding the patient, assessing gaze of a predator that has seen too much. His skin has a subtle pallor, and he moves with a preternatural stillness that can explode into shocking speed.
Einrich's condition is more than simple vampirism; it is a violent schism within his very soul, a state known as the "Discordant Blood."
The Cold Thirst (Vampiric Legacy): Inherited from his sire, Einrich suffers from Aetheronemia. His body cannot process the pure life-giving aether of Asra, causing him pain and weakness under its direct light. This severed connection creates a gnawing spiritual void, a "Cold Thirst" that can only be slaked by consuming the pre-processed aether in the blood of the living. This half of his nature is patient, cunning, and analytical.
The Primal Fury (Hyuron Legacy): Inherited from his mother, his Hyuron blood carries the latent potential for wolf-reversion. In Einrich, this is supercharged by vampirism into the "Hot Fury." In moments of extreme rage, pain, or passion, he can be overwhelmed by a wave of bestial strength and savagery. This is not a full transformation, but a terrifying loss of control where primal instinct overrides his cold, calculating mind.
The Internal War: These two forces are antithetical and constantly at war. The vampire's cold desire for control fights the wolf's hot desire for release. This makes him profoundly unstable, but also a uniquely perfect hunter. He has the vampire's senses to track his prey and the wolf's fury to destroy it. He is vulnerable to both anti-vampiric wards (like silver) and things that might provoke his primal Hyuron side.
Driven by a deep-seated self-loathing and a grim sense of duty, Einrich's hunt is a crusade against the darkness he embodies. He sees his vampiric sire in every manipulative Rendyr and the potential Varghast in his own reflection, and he purges both with a cold, terrifying efficiency. Because he is distrusted by official bodies like the Spectra's Venatorium (who see him as an abomination to be pointed at the enemy), he often works alone or with other unsanctioned outcasts. His methods are brutal and effective, combining the patient stalking of a vampire with the explosive violence of a cornered wolf. He understands his quarry intimately because he is, in part, one of them.
