his loyalty in past and present is only to the Mornhaladurun and he has never known the bondage of a Kabal or the problems of a family.
very typical warbreed upbringing. memories of parents or siblings or family are terrible at best. he remembers the Dark Days and he remembers the blood gashed through field and forest.
what is family? difficult to parse. foes, rivals. pets or blood if they do not leave him and his bind alone. the meaning of the word is hardly comprehended.
Syraeth is also basal and terrible in social desire as he claws through the motions of many new sensations given by Vulraen. it is not so easily in his blood to simply be still.
he works through emotions and events in play: biting, clawing, killing, chewing through flesh. reenacting violence to process it with those he loves the most. submission is a terrifying thing even still.
it was this that split the two of them once in a fear of destroying one another.
physical and sexual affection is difficult and somewhat terrifying in its earnest submission. it is not easily within him to show his throat to another for fear of the fangs that might find him.
It was intimate in its brutality; punishment and satiation in equal measure, as ecstatic as no other thing was. Syraeth met the waking sight with resenting grace; with discomfort, his attention a whorl of cold.
He was eager to fight, infuriated by the scent of blood with fury everlasting. He wanted to join the cacophony in his silence and be sated by exhaustion first or his eradication perhaps second.
Halted by the force of the parapet. Its wall, high, perched in black wood and prevented his descent entirely.
Not a fate befitting one of the Mornhaladurun's favourites. They were permitted to serve and suffer only.
Forced to stand, a growl rises from his throat at the obstruction.
Syraeth is a warbreed who only finds pleasure in fighting, blades, fangs. Doesn't know how to act around others when spirituality is removed from the sensations of the soul. His is an over-stayed welcome awaiting an end in absence of conflict. He thinks.
Temper becomes abyss in the presence of peace and he yearns to fight against all things. Draihari are not allies or the same as him and neither are the dark things-- his soul in-between.
Doesn't torture or keep pets, willing or no; the dominated are to be fresh prey to their lords, not their pleasure-things. No such beasts shall demand breaths between himself and his own conquests.
Syraeth comes from a time of fear and desperation amongst the eldar and his perception- his use- is in the present. there is no need for the satisfaction of the senses but there is a need for survival.
all else that would poise against the cause of his own desires or of the Arch-Divine would meet with destruction.
this becomes a little exhausting after the Dark Days until his desire for life is given to him by his soulbind.
truthfully the conflict in his mind at Mornkhainen's mercy is abandonment and torture; he would say nothing, loyal to him still, but maybe slightly resents him.
on the other hand, his feelings are looked upon in self-punishment for questioning the Arch-Divine's desires.
his inability for relaxation was a promise of isolation and some pain while he was apart from Vulraen as he struggled with dominance against other lovers and became worse for it. maybe a little disturbed or more reserved for it, for a while.
abuse, domination, submission, violence, drugs. lords injured in overstimulation or defence. perhaps killed or perhaps made into enemies.
while apart, he assumes he would not see Vulraen again and asks Mornkhainen several times to be allowed to die and is denied each time. in furious pain trusting him every time also.
when him and Vulraen do reunite, it is while bathed in scars refusing to heal- in a marring of mistreatment that he unreadily welcomed.
It was in these days that he also lived in torment until he could no longer be of help and hid away in a desire to keep fighting, shown then to the uorethun. Shown the pleasure of bloodletting again and becomes hooked on its satiation.
After Helevorn and the slavers' cities are built, he is compelled south. To the farthest south and the Valari outpost become subjects of sensation a little strange. Not contempt.
He dominates his rival Divine there and claims his spire as his own in Morthuul-- not as a Divine but as a Dreadlord overseeing willing subjects.
Syraeth found him in the uorethun hidden from Helevorn and, challenging one another, they fought. and continued to fight for cycles and cycles; mortal months, maybe.
in mirror to one another, they satisfy each other's needs for violence and the challenges in their shared conflicts.
shedding his blood is addiction -- licking his wounds and breaking them deeper are both ecstasy.
as he exists, Syraeth cannot resist showing claws and teeth in possession of his lovers and playthings.
in the same possession, he would die for him if ordered.
he would also cut down any who want to possess him. Vulraen is his own to keep and adore only. he will hiss at any who come near to his lord -- the Mornhaladurun himself not a worthy enough creature to get close.
his love language is violence and expulsion of energy, shredding of the senses. he cannot simply tolerate the giving of somatic affection but must fight for it and must fight against it also.
it was through this that their relationship ended for the first and last time as Vulraen, no warbreed, desired the affection and balance that Syraeth could not give even when bound.
he would learn to give it. the hard way for all his senses and eventually it becomes his very absence of mind; in learned affection, enjoying silence and touch and simply looking out for his bind's comfort.
Affection flashes into ferocious addiction. Vision blackening in pleasure and delight and it...
Was different. To Tathala and Hauclir. As he gouges him with his own claws he's forced to consider the pain torn from his own throat as he writhes and attacks him in turn.
He looks at Vulraen in a haze of addicted thrill. The other a predator. A rival. A perfect equal. A mirror of his own pain, he thinks as night-eyes dilate in thrill. Did they duel still? This no longer a dance at all but a struggle in the depths of so much more.
Vulrâen is his mirror; the other half of his soul, and lord he wishes to devour and be killed by at the end of all things. his shadow is a euphoric comfort and absence a violent stake in craving.
He struggles to parse delight and serenity and, oh, the strange ache when he feels any. At the mercy of his beloved, he would feel all of these things and more and squirm.
In the way of adoration and predation upon his bind he wishes Vulraen's throat bled into his own black gore and his own essence given to Vulraen in life. Mutually-enjoyed destruction a pleasure and a natural indulgence.
Parting with him was traumatic.
Bonding back to him again after uncountable cycles was also traumatic. He would never intend to let him go again or let him belong to any other thing. He would kill another lover if one was found; as he would the both of them when they become world-weary.
Around him, he feels pleasure and fear and craving in vulnerability that parses as natural but strange and somewhat terrifying. Passion ever malforming into a quickly cannibalistic desire.
things such as undeveloped lore, headcanons, and misc. notes for fun.
has a profound interest in dragonkind and some passion for dragonriding. breeds and trains his own as pets and later as allies or distant friends.
for him they are leisure companions and war-mounts though he does not actually fight from dragonback. he fights in melee with glaive and claw.
his surname was given for the braying of his dragons over Niskerra's fields.
he is the reborn soul of his uncle, brother to Thorne, killed during the earlier Dark Days when the draihari still fought the void, himself consumed by its maw in battle. the lord's vicious desire to help his family and kin granted his rebirth back to the troubled world so that he could continue to fight. Syraeth may not remember or be aware of this.
he struggles immensely at being alone. he is reliant on drugs to avoid destruction.
a great scar down his belly remains as a ferocious relic of near death during conflict with the orcs.

mornkhainen.
syraeth trusts him unrelentingly and will always kneel to him without doubt. bites through everything asked of him with clinical pleasure even if he resents it so very much. the highs of obedience are rewarded by pleasure and distraction, acceptable to syraeth even as contempt as old as the first age darkens his blood.
meraine.
loyal Dulran. his creature who keeps him in frustration at times, mirroring each other in ferocity and mutualism at once. Meraine affords him loyal attention that he enjoys sincerely, his lord an attentive one. a little envious of his composure. has a crush.
