Ven 30, 2424 - Session 6 - The Dying Grove

As we prepared to leave Enna approached us to deliver a message from the Druid, Thalara (Thalara Odobenya Faluwete Qaletaqa). Saying the ruins we found before are popping up more and more and have been seen all over the grove and tainting it. Mentioned "The Black Harvest" again. If we don't do something soon the grove will be lost.
The warehouse might have to wait until we save the grove. I hope we can do it in time!
I go get PIP and we head west to meet Thalara at the Grove.
As we meet Thalara, she had lost her fun loving joyous demeaner. Wearing a more serious and mature countenance.
The forest was thick with decay and the smell of sulfur. The bark peeling off the trees and demonic ruins scattered around.
She was eyeing us with a stare of caution and distrust. I can't blame her given the circumstance.

We tried to defuse the situation and calm Thalara's nerves and reenforce the fact that we are here to help and aid her.
Z'ed decided to take action and went to find a blossom from up stream to help Thalara with her ritual to combat the corruption that has been take hold on the grove.
Thalara weakened trying to hold the spell she cast lead us to a shrine with a broken stone circle. It was covered in a strange mist and foul corruption and rot.
Laslyn tried to clear away the debris on the stones and became sickened from the dust that was kicked up in her face.
Upon Z'ed's idea I used some of my alchemist fire to burn away the rest of the rod and debris from the stones.
Bruin identified them as autumnal seasonal glyphs. One of the required glyphs was missing.
Amani dazed out for a second. She started hearing whispers in her head and became scared of what she heard.
I found some stuff and tried to remake the broken glyph hoping to mend the circle.
As we placed it where the missing piece was the corruption seemed to recede. It worked!
This was just part of the work to return the grove to its healthy state
We continued further into the grove and came to a hollow. The mist was thicker here. The trees twisted and bleeding sap. Fungal growths pulsating. A stone monolith stood desecrated with marks and split. Vines choking it and a glowing emanating from the break in it.
As we approached a voice broke the silence.
"You left the door open"
We cautiously moved forward when a seed pod came out of nowhere and stuck Bruin. A strange creature attacked us from behind the monolith.
Bruin attacked back. I threw a quick vial of fire and it seemed weak to the fire. Suddenly a breast came out of the bushes next to me and proceded to swallow me whole. I could tell my friends where attacking it from outside trying to free me but I was deep in its belly suffocating sitting in bile.
Z'ed summoned some crazy tempest around herself!
I tried to yell to PIP to get me free luckily he heard me but unfortunately he wasn't strong enough to help any.
The smell and the acid burning as I tried to stay conscious. It felt like it started running somewhere.
The beast that attacked Z'ed took frozen shards of damage from her tempest spell. I cant believe I missed seeing that!
I tried to used some alchemist fire to burn my way out but moving inside that beast was near impossible.
I started to panic and did the only thing i could think to survive and downed a soothing tonic. Then everything went dark. . .
Next thing I know I am being torn out of the beast's body by Laslyn like my muscle-mommy guardian angel.
The others seemed to have dispatched the other enemies while I was out. They all looked as though they had seen better days.
I just lied there reevaluating what life choices I have made that lead me here. Ugh!
We gathered together and cleansed the pool. It seems we have saved the grove from this corruption. Now it can heal.
The druids blessed us (+1 stealth and survival checks for the next 2 days) with the forests help.
We were also given a map to the warehouse and told to avoid it by night.
