Daenestra was once a graceful elven woman with a serene presence, remembered in local legends as a healer and guardian of a sacred glade within Wyrmhollow Wood. In death, her spirit lingered—bound by sorrow, betrayal, or unfinished purpose—until recently.
Her husband, Gunder, had left in search of a magical flower—a Winter’s Heart—to cure an ailment afflicting her. He died only weeks ago, his body discovered by the party in the lair of a shambling mound. Daenestra died waiting for his return.
The party encountered her spirit at the Glade of the Last Promise, a still and sacred clearing marked by a leaning white stone veined with silver.
She appeared as a translucent, sorrowful figure, drawn to the Heartstring Pendant, an item the party found earlier in their journey.
Upon returning the pendant to her, the party witnessed her spirit find peace, transforming the pendant and leaving behind a warm, protective energy in its place.
