Inside the ruins, Alaric, Ginny and Arvin battle skeletons and solve cryptic riddles that test their past and resolve. In a climactic confrontation, Macbeth begins to possess Henry, but the group intervenes. With the help of a mysterious magical dice, time is rewound. Henry is spared possession, and the group defeats Macbeth. However, the library vanishes from their memory. All they recall is finding Henry during a strange ritual. Though victorious, the cost is high. Ginny’s bees never return, and Arvin had forgetten his past. And Alaric? Although there was no test for him, he would be tested in the future...
