Through the kingdom of Goliath, Meriel was granted entrance to The Cell, and with the aid of the Gargoyles’ magic, she secretly crossed into the barren lands of the sealed continent in search of Misandria.

After months of travel, the two met along the riverbanks of Erel. Near the Black River, Misandria arrived escorted by a small personal guard. Her health was in a dire state, as she carried the four children of Nedel, fully aware that her labor would claim her life. The mutation caused by The Cell had affected both her and the children she would bear, and Misandria trembled at the thought of the Black Seeds that were about to enter the world.

Placing her trust in Meriel, Misandria entrusted her with the Books of First Magic, asking her to atone for the damage inflicted upon the world by the arrival of the Gods and by Nedel himself. She had come to believe that the Quest of the Gate was a failure with unforgivable repercussions upon Vitallia.

In the hands of the young witch, alongside the Books, now rested the responsibility of guarding The Crater against the hordes of monsters that rise to the surface and threaten the balance of Vitallia.
