efore the first ships of the Species of Tongue ever scarred the coastline, before banners, borders, and crowns, there was The Wisp.
The Wisp rose from a land already alive with Mana, not as masters of it, but as its keepers. Their cities were not built against the forest but grown within it, woven into roots and branches like veins beneath skin. Towers curve like tree trunks. Bridges hang like moss. Even their roads bend around ancient growth rather than cutting through it.
They believe all life that draws upon Mana for guidance, vitality, or power does so by quiet permission. The Wisp see themselves as custodians of that permission. Druids, arcanists, and watchers patrol the forests not to police magic, but to ensure its flow remains balanced. Predators, prey, mortals, spirits, even dragons are part of the same current.
At the heart of their dominion lies The Hollow Point.
It is not a structure in the traditional sense. It is a vast, sacred depression in the earth where ancient trees grow in a perfect circular formation, their roots intertwining beneath the soil like a living lattice. In its center rests a stillness so profound it hums.
Mana is strongest here.
Scholars who have stood within the Hollow Point describe the sensation as drowning without water. Colors sharpen. Sounds distort. Thought feels heavy and light at once. The barrier between the Waking Weave and the Mana Plane thins, though it never fully parts.
The Wisp do not exploit this place. They guard it. Only those deemed balanced of spirit are permitted to enter its inner ring. It is their axis and their sanctuary.
Creating relations with King Locke Berathian of Bera, The Wisp was also pushed into innovation, expanding on more ways to channel and harness Mana, respecting its power and purpose. The Wisp were able to effectively and safely obtain more knowledge of Mana, assisting the rest of Llithe.
During Kingdom Come, Wisp was on a crossroads of helping the North or South, respecting King Locke and his legacy but favoring Reach and its promises of a better future for The Wisp.
Now, The Wisp face a different threat, although they won their war, The appearance of the Tower shakes the foundation and safety of not only its land but Mana. Observers of Mana are now seeing the flow of Mana decreasing ever slightly since the Tower arrived, causing great discourse. Losing part of their land changed their feeling of peace and security. Now bound to this current fate, The Wisp more than ever protects everything they have now.
