You’ve trained with the traditional arms of your people since childhood.
You gain access to all uncommon weapons with your ancestry trait (for example, Gargo weapons, Vaelen weapons, Android weapons, etc.).
You gain familiarity with weapons that either:
Have your ancestry trait, or
Are listed as your ancestry’s ancestral weapons in its entry.
For proficiency purposes only:
Treat any of these weapons that are martial as simple weapons.
Treat any of these weapons that are advanced as martial weapons.
At 5th level, whenever you score a critical hit with one of these weapons, you apply that weapon’s critical specialization effect.
Practically: your bloodline’s “fancy toys” come online at lower class investment, and you get their crit riders early, even if your class isn’t a dedicated weapons expert.
Ancestral Weapon Familiarity makes your people’s signature hardware more than just a line in the equipment table—it says you grew up with that weapon in the room, that its weight and recoil are part of your muscle memory, and that in a galaxy of off‑the‑rack armaments, you still carry something that means home.
