Valentis is a star system in the Centaurus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. It is the capital system of Arcendas, a major human interstellar civilization.
The system lies near Westerlund 1, a dense young star cluster containing numerous massive stars, including rare supergiants and hypergiants. Valentis is a separate inhabited system outside the cluster itself.
