Abaddon is the God of all which does not fit: everything unique and everything disorderly.
As an embodiment of Free Magic, Abaddon is naturally antithetical to Rune magic. Much of his power also wanes in places of order and justice.
Having been murdered by Gurang Zhi / Solane and Huran Zhi / Nyxal during the First Divine War, Abaddon spent much of the First and Second Eras recovering and scheming.
Modern Worship
Very few First or Second Era communities acknowledge the existence of Abaddon, much less worship him. Those that do often do so unknowingly - manipulated by some last remaining vestiges of Abaddon's will.
The Azurites are perhaps the most notable example.

Background
The Void Era
Abaddon was the first complex being to come into existence, a process which involved random Void Spirits combining into one entity. Following his birth, Abaddon subsumed nearly all other Ichor in the Void, becoming a nigh-omnipotent God of Chaos and Free magic. Some Ichor, however, remained free - eventually forming into two Lesser Gods, both of whom Abaddon largely ignored.
During this period, Abaddon used Free magic to permanently integrate his consciousness into the very concept of all the Void embodied (chaos and uncertainty).
The First Divine War
The Lesser Gods conspired and utilized structured Rune magic in order to weaken Abaddon's elements of chaos and uncertainty, eventually leading to his demise. His corpse became Plumamentia - and from his Ichor, life and Xurhuan Zhi / Elysia were formed.
The First Era
Abaddon was largely non-corporeal during the First Era, as his Ichor was largely repurposed and/or subsumed by the Lesser Gods.
The Second Era
The rampant expansionism of Mortals during the Second Era, as well as the inherent chaos such efforts bring, allowed some last vestiges of Abaddon's consciousness to reform in locations of extreme anarchy and chaos - which granted Abaddon some power to manipulate fringe groups such as the Azurites.
The Second Divine War
The Azurites, after centuries of Abaddon's corrupting influence, murdered and subsumed Ulong Lai / Summer and Summer's Domain. This gap in order allowed Abaddon some measure of influence over Plumamentia, which he leveraged to arrange Thorn's murder.
Gurang Zhi / Solane, panicked, attempts to bargain with Abaddon for Xurhuan Zhi / Elysia's life. Abaddon seized this opportunity to corrupt Gurang Zhi / Solane's Ichor: promising the safety of the remaining Dragon Lords / Laiwang in exchange for all of Gurang Zhi / Solane's power and dominion.
