After fighting through some beetles and gricks, the party fought two gnolls and a hobgoblin, who shouted at them repeatedly in his tongue. Arathor was forced to use a health potion to keep fighting. Some gemstones, a set of Bracers of Archery and some coins were obtained.

Searching deeper in the cavern, the group happened across a lone nothic whom they swiftly dispatched. Grex managed to harvest both the eye and the brain of the creature.
