His Imperial Majesty, Orivan Pratius, is the autocratic Imperator of the renewed Korinthian Empire. He is an ancient and skilled Portalmancer and began the 2nd Western War when he attacked the Dominion, beginning the Night of a Thousand Tears.

Orivan Pratius was a Portalmancer master in the Ancient Korinthian Empire over two thousand years ago. Sometime before the great Elven Schism he was lost to time in a stasis in an attempt to save his apprentice. Later, around 610 GE, he was rescued by heroes investigating the ruins of Heliopolis. Shortly thereafter he began investigating the status of the Korinthian Remnant, traveling the country and meeting with local leaders. His power of Portalmancy made this a trivial feat, accomplishing more in two years than many leaders could in decades.

Discovering the history that unfolded, Pratius was outraged to discover that the Elves were no longer immortal and had suffered so much since his dimensional imprisonment. It is reported that the decay of Portalmancy was what angered His Majesty most deeply, he quickly set to work tutoring the Korinthian practitioners. It was not long after he realized this ancient mastery could easily restore the glory of the Empire. His vision for a renewed Korinth swept through the Remnant like a fever. Shortly thereafter, the Korinthian Empire was reborn with His Majesty as her first leader.

Korinthians, especially the Elves, revere the Emperor, especially the oldest among them. Solara Adorans have mixed opinions. While they have been a critical component in the recent centuries, Pratius cares not for their cause at all. He respects the humans in his borders but they are forbidden from serving in his armies, preferring to employ them as farmers, spies, and scribes. This conflict drives a wedge in otherwise fanatic Imperial love for Pratius.

Pratius' war with the Dominion has stalled in the recent months. The Watchers have impeded his progress with their anti-magic relic. Pratius has said that he will tolerate nothing but absolute victory. As the Spring returns, many wonder how the Imperator will continue his war or if he will change his stance.
