We started the session by talking to Arkix about our plans. Arkix mentions needing fighters to acquire the extract of the Voradine, which we were already planning to do, and also potentially to help protect the Canidae from the wrath of the Blightsteel Dominion when they find out the Canidae have a cure. She warned us against going public about the cure because the general public doesn’t even know that the plague is back, so it might cause a panic and make people look at us weird.

Then we traveled to the devil camp, which was helped by Malum finding a shortcut (he rolled a nat 20). We did recon on the camp and Nuhlra tried to climb an empty watchtower, but failed multiple times. She then went through a hole in the wall, which triggered an alarm.

We fought the devils and Nuhlra went down once, and Cailte got hurt, but we made it out and killed the devils—one imp was killed later by Malum maintaining his spell until it was dead. We collected the blood from the Voradine (our target) and then snooped around the camp, where another imp was sleeping. Malum spoke to it in Diabolical, but it went invisible and we don’t know where it went. We also learned that the devils were playing Uno with poker chips, which Nuhlra took.

On the way back to Umbral Haven (with the Voradine’s body), Malum taught Nuhlra some general knowledge about his goddess, Astradyne, but was careful not to share any personal information.
