Kalen grew up in Feardale, a city that bore the brunt of the orcish onslaught. The city, constantly under the shadow of orc warbands, suffered frequent sackings and raids.
These relentless attacks forced his family, like many others, to flee, leading a life of uncertainty and constant movement.
Kalen's path took a dramatic turn when he found himself imprisoned due to a misfortunate event. At Watermeuse Fort, he faced a critical choice: languish in a cell or join the ranks of the Baneforged.
The fort, known for transforming outcasts and prisoners into elite warriors, offered Kalen a chance at redemption and purpose.
Watermeuse Fort was home to the Baneforged, a revered group known for their prowess in combating orcs and other fearsome creatures.
Here, Kalen embarked on the arduous Dragon Quest, a rite of passage for all prospective Baneforged. The task: to venture into the Deadlands and slay a dragon, bringing back a token of victory.
In the Deadlands , Kalen faced a deadly drake. The ensuing battle tested his limits and left him with a lasting mark – a severe burn on his right hand. Returning triumphantly with the drake's scale, he earned his place among the Baneforged.
As a Baneforged, Kalen received tattoos signifying his commitment to defending humanity. His life became a constant battle against orc warbands, monsters and goblins, safeguarding the realms he once had to flee from.
