The party awoke, and Liengod shared his nighttime discovery with the group. After some discussion it was decided that some information gathering would be for the best. Starting at the Verdant Kettle, Zahara began to work the crowd to determine what could be gleaned from the people who knew the doctor in life. After this, the group went to the Severed Oath, and repeated the process.

It was determined from these three things. First someone by the moniker, AM, was trying to warn or scare off the group. Second, the doctor believe he was close to finding the vault rumored to have been left behind by the ancient culture in the region. Third, a new guard captain had been raised up quickly, put in charge of the doctor's old workshop, and boxes were being moved out from that area.

The group decided to investigate this new captain to see if the keystone could be gotten off of him, and to see the truth about the boxes. On the way, the group noticed someone was tailing them. Prickles set up in a blind spot ready to intercept. The group knows they are about a dangerous task, and the streets are less than kind to the unwary, so everyone prepared for a confrontation.

The trap Prickles set was turned around on her and a shadowy figure appeared with a knife to her throat. A tense stand off occurred as the group arrived at an uneasy detente. The two new comers claimed to also be on the trail of the good doctor. So the group proceeded together.

When the group managed to observe the workshop entrance again, they found some Azure guard standing watch with the new Ward captain. This group of men had previously attempted to kill the two new comers, and most of the group seem to have little love for the so called authority. This prodding was enough for the group to escalate hostilities.

A brief battle ensued. Kat ended it by melting the minds of most of the thugs in uniforms. The group searched the bodies, and disposed of their handiwork in the channel.
