New Haven was the first settlement, how long ago is difficult as a date is not known but each of the 5 families can trace back to the settlers who landed here. At least 18 generations.

It is the agreed head of the Island and all important decisions are made here by the heads of each settlement and the Lord Protector over seeing the proceedings.
