About 80 years ago the Island was invaded by a cult, this wasn't discovered until some of the teenagers disappeared. Once the men had returned from the sea a party was organised and a camp was found in the hills near the mountain base. After a terrible battle the cult were defeated and driven away. Sadly the taken children were sacrificed to the Moon God Cult. There remain only 2 people still alive who remember first hand this time. Elder Jonn Gather was a child at the time but remembers his Father tell the mother of what they had found and the outcome for the taken children. The other was the Widow A Druid Elf.
These are sometimes seen and avoided when the Islanders are at Sea. Little is known of them but they don't take prisoners. Some say that there is one very large ship and the Pirates have this as a base and use smaller ships to raid any other vessels they come across.
