“For a century and a half, and more, the Lords' Alliance has stood as the most important and influential group of the Sword Coast. It has kept towns safe from the predations of larger powers, has kept ambitions in check, and has taught the rulers of many cities that it is better to cooperate, even for a time, then to merely shut one's doors and allow the storms to rage outside”
— Andew Cururen, agent of the Lords Alliance
A military alliance between the free cities of the Sword Coast that has stood for hundreds of years. It is called upon when the peoples of the Swoard Coast faces existential threats.
The Alliance views the situation in Kildar and the mishandling of the Netherese Technology as an existential threath to it's existance. Het has therefore deployed it's expeditionary forces under the command of General Ravengard, to stop the trade of (cursed) magical items towards the sword coast and to secure the Netherese technology to prevent their misuse.
Spymaster Lug has apparently created a vast intelligence network in Kildar ahead of time, seemingly with the goal softening it before the invasion, and to reduce the amount of resistance the kildarian factions can put up. False flag operations, bribery, blackmail, sabotage, assassinations, it's all par for the course.
The alliance's worldview is that if civilization is to survive, all must unite against the forces that threaten it. Drilled into it's troops is that glory comes from protecting one’s home. After many near-misses of catastrophy, General Ravengard is of the mindset that the best defense is a strong offense. For Lug, the spymaster of the Alliance, this means getting your hands dirty, for what are a few lives compared to tens of thousands?

A well organized and well supplied military, with regiments, companies, platoons and squads. The organisation knows 7 ranks from high to low:
General, leader of the Expeditionary Forces Division (10.000+ troops)
Colonel, leader of a Regiment (500-1000 troops)
Captain, leader of a Company (100-200 troops)
Lieutenant, leader of a Platoon (30-50 troops)
Sergeant, leader of a Squad (8-16 troops)
Corporal, leader of a Strike Team (4-10 troops)
Soldier (a single trooper)
Besides it's military might, the Lords Alliance also has apparently built up a vast network of spies and informants. Spymaster Lug seemingly knows what his opponents will do before they even know themselves.

Officers and soldiers the adventurers will probably see first and associate with the faction.
Some members of Magia ad Nihilum are apparently defecting towards the Lords Alliance, or undermining the Eldritch Inquisition from within.
The Crusaders of Lady Elaine and the Lords Alliance seemingly have a common enemy: The Eldritch Inquisition. And spymaster Lug has apparently made many visits to Anfyn in the months before their Crusade.
Some individual mercenary companies are apparently finding it more lucrative to fight for the Alliance than against it, and are terminating their Mercenaries Guild memberships.
The guilds of Kildar risk losing their power if the Lords Alliance takes control over the lands. The Eldritch Inquisition and the Military Guilds are it's staunchest opponents, bankrolled by the Commerce Factions
