Often also called: The Moonstone Conflict

A pivotal event shattered the fragile peace between the Luminary and humanity. Before it became known as the Sunfire Expanse, the lands of Sunfire were a grassy savannah. It was turned into a vast desert when a colossal meteor crashed into it, leaving behind a massive crater.

This gift from above became known as Lumina. (Known to other races as Moonstone). It was a mysterious and elusive material which responded to those with strong connections to The Breath, allowing them to perform even more extraordinary feats. Although this name is incorrect, the material does have no direct correlation to the moon around Ignisar.

Humans, Luminary and even the Dwarves desired this arcane resource, and their ambitions to acquire it ignited an explosive conflict. Open hostility replaced the fragile coexistence they once shared. The Luminary considered this a gift from their gods meant for them, due to their talents with The Breath, their obsessiveness over the Moonstone did more harm than good.

They laid claim to it and started harvesting it, any attempts for intervention by the Dwarves or Humanity were met with deceit or violence. This incident marked a turning point in history...
