A new and terrible chapter in Sevenfold’s history began with whispers—furtive mutterings of blackened, shifting figures glimpsed in the dead of night. At first, these stories were dismissed as mere superstition, the ramblings of frightened travelers and over-imaginative children. But then, the disappearances began.
It was the Ruins of Dappleburn, that first bore the full weight of the unknown horror. On a moonless night, a thick, unnatural silence fell upon the settlement. No birds stirred. No wind howled. Then came the shapes, writhing, formless masses of deep purple and black, shifting like living ink against the night. Their presence was suffocating, and where they moved, torches sputtered out, warmth fled, and reality itself seemed to tremble.
The attack was merciless. People screamed, but no one could hear them beyond the village’s edge. Some vanished into thin air, their bodies swallowed whole by the creeping abyss. Others withered in an instant, their flesh crumbling to dust before their own eyes. By dawn, Dappleburn was gone. Not razed, not pillaged—simply emptied, as though it had never been.
Scholars and mages scrambled to explain what had happened, but no answers came. The Void Echoes, as they were soon named, defied all logic. They were not creatures, not spirits, not mere phantoms of the mind. They did not belong to this world. Their very presence fed upon the despair and corruption of Ignisar, drawn to suffering like moths to flame. They could not be reasoned with. They could not be killed—at least, not by conventional means. Where they appeared, hope withered, and only dread remained. And worst of all, they are spreading.

Swarmers
Whispers of malevolence swarm as entities, dark and insidious, akin to shadows with a vile intent. Their collective presence engulfs all in a suffocating wave, a relentless swarm that devours hope and light alike. In their unity, they become a force that overwhelms the very essence of life.
Stalkers
Silent phantoms, melding seamlessly into the darkness, Stalkers emerge as shadows within shadows. Their pursuit is marked by an otherworldly stealth, a ghostly presence that haunts the living. In the quiet, they strike, leaving only echoes of the souls they've ensnared.
Silencers
Terrifying tormentors, Silencers manifest as embodiments of arcane dread. Their presence can completely extinguish "The Breath" from someone, leaving them powerless in the face of an impending Void. The dread they sow is not in their appearance, but in the silent demise of the very magic that opposes them.
Corrupters
Bearers of the malignant touch, Corrupters stand as architects of a malevolent metamorphosis. Once-pure souls become twisted under their influence, a contagion of corruption that fractures bonds and plunges souls into an abyss.
Harbingers
Colossal entities embodying impending doom, arise when multiple Spawns converge. Towering and destructive, they symbolize impending catastrophe, witnessed only once during "The Siege on Spellwhisk". In their merged might, they serve as a testament to the overwhelming power of the Void Echoes, leaving a trail of destruction in their colossal wake.
