Babylon: SIGNALIS ABTR Guide

Difficulty: Moderate

What is an ABTR?

ABTRs serve as the Volksmilitar's vehicle specialists. Designated to specific crafts, Albatrosses are trained to service the Nation's various crafts in the battlefield, whether it's as the drivers of assault craft, the pilot of a Close Air Support vehicle, or a humble logistics driver, their dedication to their work is what makes their continued use on the battlefield ever-present.

While also trained in basic infantry combat, survival skills, and general maintenance, they thrive in their element, and rarely like to be torn from it.

How do I roleplay as an ABTR?

Albatross units find solidarity among similarly designated units, for example, ABTRs piloting the Nation's fighters stick together, while bickering with Albatross units who are designated as Ground-based units. While never usually anything drastic, it is advised to monitor their interactions, as it can escalate.

While not glued to them, Albatross units tend to stay near or around their designated vehicles, cleaning and maintaining it until it's time for use. In-between deployments, they can be asked to aid in other tasks, however, it is advised that anything they do is checked over, as some younger units tend to haphazardly complete tasks to return to their vehicles as quickly as possible.

Disclaimer:

ABTR's purpose is related to vehicles, and when considering wanting to make one, that you may experience a lull period in deployment. You may see more foot-traffic as a ground-based unit, but until needed, they tend to be on standby. While not novices to combat, they are not as robust as an ALKR, nor technically savvy as an ARAR in general maintenance.

If you are applying for such a character, do keep in mind what kind of vehicle they would be piloting, and don't be afraid to be creative. If you want your ABTR to be a humble truck driver, or a coy fighter pilot, they will serve to give other players mobility in events, as well as additional firepower for threats they might need.
