Signal Gedankenlesen Löschung Replika 'Segler'
(Signal Mind Reading Deletion Replika 'Swift')

The Segler Replika, also known as the Swift, is a Generation 5 unit that act as the Nation's dedicated replika for counter intelligence and Communications. They handle spycraft, switchboard operations, and long distance radio operations.

A Segler's capabilities for bioresonant are that of a Vocalist, due to the earlier model module within their frame. While later generations would refine the model into a far more effective tool, the unit's capabilities for counter-insurgency are vital to operations in hostile/high population areas. Like an inconspicuous wiretap, the Segler can harmonize their song with others flawlessly, being nearly undetectable to most kinds of Bioresonant. While harmonizing, information of the target can be gathered for operations, gathering evidence needed before their secondary functionality comes into play. A Segler can 'isolate' a person's song, meaning they are unable to use their Bioresonance to call for others, allowing for other units to entrap and apprehend the subject, however, such a feature can take a heavy toll on their own Bioresonance Module if used excessively.

The frame was originally designed to be able to “block” thoughts within the mind, not dissimilar to the Kolibri on top of their other roles, however this proved to be a drastic failure as pushing their frames bioresonant modules led to destabilization and in extreme cases the death of entire cadres. Seglers do not carry out this role anymore, however an older Segler might have done this in the past before Kolibris came around, leaving lasting scars on themselves.

SGLR units ceased production in the year 76, meaning no new units have been made in two rotations.

Segler’s tend to stick together with their sisters or their cousins, the Kolibri. They are exceptionally polite to most staff, rarely opening up fully to anyone outside of their cadre unless given good reason to. They constantly try to collect information, being almost obsessive about working hard and proving themselves useful.

In the rare occasion they do open up to other units, it tends to occur with ABTR units, that they act as ground control for, or SPTR units, that are involved in the same counter-intelligence they are.

Behavior

Quiet and reserved, Seglers take in information and listen to others, rather than talk about themselves. Oftentimes, these units will only share information between other Seglers using their Bioresonance. A habit done primarily off-duty, but is monitored for destabilization. They also use the arts as a means of stabilizing their mood, such as drawing, sculpting or any other activity of creative influence. They also boast a habit of listening to radio transitions, as well as tinkering with their equipment to ensure it works effectively, further increasing their mood.

Segler units should avoid all social gatherings where slow dancing is involved, as well as any media which may showcase it. This comes from an issue within the template itself and can lead to depression and destabilization. As well, repeated unit failures with tasks can also lead to extreme stress, and it is advised to redesignate to minor, completable tasks to help calm the unit, and praise be provided for their work.

Signs to look out for with Bioresonance overuse during missions include shakiness, migraines, fever, fatigue, and more. It is recommended that while this will occur during use, excessive time in this state may lead to death or permanent injury, so it is advised to monitor and time their abilities with strike teams and other units to ensure effective use.
