Station Eisenzaam is unique in that it is the only location in the entire Solar System that the Eusan Empire is able to extract silica at a high enough purity to create silicon wafers of high enough quality to make computer chips.
Even when compared to the silica deposits that the Eusan Nation has access to, Station Eisenzaam wins with effectively no contest. This station quite literally creates a single point of failure for an immense portion of the Eusan Empire's economy and war machine, and because of this, Eisenzaam was designed to be a sort of "superfortress" to match its namesake; Eisenzaam means "Iron Citadel" in Eusan Standard.
The first line of defense employed by Station Eisenzaam its camouflage. Ventilation shafts and smokestacks are carefully distributed, concealed, and split to ensure that detection will be difficult. Due partially to Svarog's intense surface temperature, thermal imaging is wholly useless for detecting precise strike targets.
Eisenzaam's second line of defense is its sheer depth beneath the surface, sitting at roughly 2000 meters at its shallowest point; this is also the depth that passenger trains and cargo freighters arrive through Route Ganymede after descending at a .25% grade for roughly 800 kilometers. At this depth, it is untouchable even by purpose-built nuclear bunker busting munitions.
As a final line of physical defense, the station has multiple layers of metallic armor embedded directly into the overhead bedrock, acting additionally as a shock absorber and suspension mechanism protecting the facility beneath from intense lithostatic pressure and tectonic movement.
Any further layers of defense, physical or otherwise, are unknown.
